Artist in Residence: Alina Grasman

Alina Grasmann lives and works in Munich. Her artworks combine technical precision with sensitive observation and invite viewers to reconsider familiar motifs. She engages intensively with perception, pictorial space and painterly presence.

After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, international influences shaped her path: she lived in New York City, where she was part of the NARS Foundation Artist in Residence program in Brooklyn. This was followed by residencies at Rocking S Art Ranch in Phoenix, Arizona, and at Fridman Gallery in Beacon, New York. These experiences broadened her perspective on landscape, architecture and urban structures, which subtly resonate in her artistic practice.

She joined Villa Arnica as Artist in Residence and shared insights into her work during an Artist Talk. Her art will be on display at the Villa.
