Artist in Residence: Alina Grasman
Alina Grasmann will be an Artist in Residence at Villa Arnica in June and will conclude her stay with an Artist Talk on June 25, 2026.
In her work, the German artist engages intensively with perception, pictorial space and painterly presence. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where she developed her precise and atmospherically dense visual language.
International influences shape her path: she lived in New York City, where she was part of the NARS Foundation Artist in Residence program in Brooklyn. This was followed by residencies at Rocking S Art Ranch in Phoenix, Arizona, and at Fridman Gallery in Beacon, New York. These experiences broadened her perspective on landscape, architecture and urban structures, which subtly resonate in her artistic practice.
Alina Grasmann lives and works in Munich. Her works combine technical precision with sensitive observation and invite viewers to reconsider familiar motifs.
